“Unicorns were hunted to extinction in the mid fourteen hundreds, not, as one would suspect, because of poachers after their horns, but because they were highly adept man-eaters, left over from ice age times.
These powerful creatures roamed the lands killing peasants and countrymen until the kingdoms in power decided on organized hunts, using young girls as bait, to capture and eradicate the animals.”
